Company History

The company was started in 1946 by Charles McMurray who was a traveling salesman for Washington Hardware. The first warehouse was an old chicken coop located at the back of the property. This was expanded by erecting a metal building over the chicken coop. In 1956, the Charles McMurray Company moved to a real building at the Corners of Belmont and Maple Avenue. In 1976, Charles McMurray constructed the current warehouse at Clinton and Argyle.
